MAMEdOX Dat's

the MAMEdOX dat's are now complete and ready for download.

There's a set of dat's already available, but they were created by combining a few different dat files together and as such they were rushed and ultimately full of errors.

The following DAT's were created by compiling the MAMEdOX mame core as a win32 exe, then CLRMame was used to generate the dat's from the exe. This means they're 100% complete. This is the only place you'll find the correct dats and here they are (rar contains dat's for CLRMame and Romcenter.)

Download MAMEdOX Dats (030305)

UPDATE: Link Changed.

Sorry for the dumb question, but where do the new *.dat files go?
Do either of the dat files need to be renamed?

Thanks

Don't worry, it's not a dumb question. The DAT's are used to check your ROMs. if you've never done this before you're probably better off starting with Romcenter (www.romcenter.com) as it's the easiest to use. However, "CLRMame Pro" is more powerful in some aspects. Hope this helps. Post if you have any more trouble :)

I use advscan on linux. Any chance of getting either a mame xml or mame list file for rom management?

Apparently you can use dat util to convert rom lists between various formats.
